Gmail for Students

College of the Redwoods has partnered with Google to provide a consistent way to communicate with all students throughout their college career. Students are assigned a MyCR email account. This is the ONLY account that CR faculty and staff will use to communicate with you. Google provides a suite of collaboration tools for you to use within a secure, ad-free academic environment. Your student email address is @mycr.redwoods.edu.

Here are some of the great features your student email provides:

  • No signup required! When you get your Webadvisor ID, your student email will be automatically created.
  • Tons of storage! MyCR mail offers users over 7GB (and growing) of free storage.
  • Huge attachment capabilities! You can send and receive attachments up to 20mb in size.
  • Ad Free! MyCR email provides all the features and tools of Gmail in an ad-free environment until you graduate. After graduation, you may keep your account at College of the Redwoods as long as you like, but you may be presented with ads like a normal Gmail account.
  • Mobile Support! Send and receive MyCR email on your cell phone or other mobile device.
  • Easily Collaborate with Others in the CR Community! You can take advantage of all the Google applications available now and in the future that enhance your collaboration with classmates, faculty, advisors, and other staff.
  • Over 7 GB of storage so you never have to delete an email again.
  • Built-in chat to talk with friends, classmates, or family all from within your inbox.
  • Import contacts from Yahoo! Mail, Outlook, Hotmail and others.

How do I log into MyCR email?

You can go directly to the login screen at http://www.google.com/a/mycr.redwoods.edu/
You will login with your Webadvisor UserID and the password is your six digit birthdate. CR recommends that you change your password.
